I have stayed at Diyathalawa circuit. That was very good, old buildings but well maintained. But I am not sure if they give out their circuits unless accompanied by an employee of the survey dept. At Diyatalawa we had to go through some severe security protocols because it's right next to the Diyathalawa military camp.

The Diyatalawa survey camp has three circuit bungalows and several holiday quarters. CBs are in better standards and specially CB 1 is a luxurious bungalow which I think is a VIP level one. Priority is given to the survey dept. officials, hence it might not be that easy to book a CB but booking a holiday quarters shouldn't be hard provided that you book it through an officer of any Government organisation. The Nuwara Eliya(katumanna) CB is not that well maintained compared to Diyatalawa but still not that bad either. Polonnaruwa CB is also in good condition situated closeby to parakrama samudraya. Anuradhapura CB is not that easy to be booked since it is situated near the president's house in A'pura and will present many complications. Kataragama CB is fully booked during the season by dept. officials.
