Hello from Italy

I have been following this forum because very shortly husband and I are visiting your beautiful Sri Lanka.

And herewith I'm asking if anybody knows the following business and if it's realiable?

http://www.sightseeinglanka.lk

They have been very detailed and kind in the various mails we have exchanged but now I have suddenly realized they don't mention any physical address on the website and in the mail they sign as "Team Sight Seeing Lanka" whereas all other business I have asked offers have always introduced with their personal names... And cannot find any responsible as registrant of the website...

Maybe I'm too paranoid but before sending money...

Anyway husband and I are looking for camping inside Yala or even better Wilpattu (and we have no time to ask permission at the Wildlife Department so we need a business offering the service) BUT we don't need any luxury accomodation, a basic tent or place/bungalow is what we are looking, we are keen on wildlife and nature and we only need a jeep all and only for the two of us so to stop when and how long we need to try to take pics of the wonderful Sri Lankan wildlife without bothering or having to ask other guest.

Any other suggestion?

Thanks and take care

Hi Chiara,

If the place doest give any details, also if its not regstered by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, dont go with it.

Best advise is that you go with a Sri Lanka Tourist Board registered tour operator

The best two camping operators i know of are Kulu Safari and Leopard Safari

I think they charge about 350 Dollars per night per person

But this charge includes Full days jeep safari, good food, drinks and good service at the camps. You will be well looked after.

www.kulusafaris.com

www.leopardsafaris.com/home.html

Both are reputed operators who you can trust.

Hope this info is helpful

Also hope you have an awesome trip in Sri Lanka, and do upload your trip report on this site.

Also like to see some photos

Cheers!
