Hi Rish

They are doing a wonderful job with limited resources ,  dedicated volunteers. Hats off to them !!

It is very easy for someone to criticize, (I read it somewhere in the forum) but, I invite them to go there and volunteer themselves for a day, two or a week, understand the free service offered by them, day or night responding to emergencies.

I mentioned in an earlier post, that they have a huge electricity bill, which can be cut down, and they need some help on that. They are also in to a Project in Sinharaja where they need more assistance. Please try to get the information from Nadika or Madura

Well, I am NOT a member of WCSG but happen to be in Hyare for 2 days, but appeal to help them in their valiant effort in conservation. They will do better with a bit of assistance.

Kind Regards
Sheham

Hello Rish,

Thank you for bringing up WCSG's valuable work and for the loads of information. Yes this should be better place for teaching the kids regarding the value of conserving the wild life..
Should pay a visit to this place.

HI All;

Totally agree with Sheham, they are doing a good job and deserve a help from those who love wildlife conservation.
I too visited the place on 17/06/2012 , being a Sunday they were not there but two laborers from Galle Municipal Council who takes care about the premises.
I too saw a young hog deer, a porcupine, purple faced leaf monkey and an adult hog deer and all seemed to be well taken care of.

I think it will be a good idea, if we can make a front to assist them.

A glympse of it's education programs:

If we can spread this to other schools, we can make school children more environment-sensitive.
