On your way towards Hatton/ Nuwara-Eliya, this place is
a ideal stop over.

Very spacious, colonial type rooms. Food is superb.
There is a moderate hike to a place called 'Eco Point'
(check the site) which takes about 4 hours (up and down).

F/B Double is Rs.6,000 with unlimited tea/ coffee.

Hi Malakar,

went to clunes villa recently. The website is a lets say an oversell. There isn't that much to do when you are there. A bit of a let down if you look at the website and try to plan your activities.

However, the bungalow is comfortable, the staff are extremely friendly, prices are reasonable, and the food is good.

I was there in April. The usual imperfections (not that I care  Grin ) you find with places like this were there :-) for an example, showers did not work properly in two bath rooms  Wink.

Its located deep inside a ruber estate so nothing too exciting about the surrounding. However the location is good if you plan to explore Deraniyagala, Kithulgala, Yatiyanthota etc.

Passing Awissawella, drive 6km further on A7. There is a by road to your left to Talduwa Estate before Dehiowita town. You have to drive further 3.6km along this narrow estate road to reach Clunes. It's easy to miss the turn-off from A7, if you get lostask for directions to Talduwa Estate as locals are not quite aware of the name "Clunes"  Huh
