Actually this refreshed my beutiful memories to same with ashan . ( thanks to you we got the details from you..)

Btw your so called wild cattle were wild buffaloes for us because they charged at us 😨😀

If you are talking about this place, 7.603335, 80.722164
I went there and camped with my office friends in July.
I used it as "Dambagahamada Plains" and we went from Bambarungahana fall side.
This place came to my mind when we had our Sandamadala hike.
Thanks for the trip report and I hope I talked about the same place. Huh
