Hi Ujrox
Wonderful experience!
Hope the rain didnt spoil your plans!
by the way I too don't agree with the camp setting in the river, it is too much risky! Remember safety first!

Hi Ujrox,

I'm also not agree with setting up a camp in the middle of a stream ( though it is a small one ) .I feel that your camping site might be very close to the place where the film "Suriya arana" was shoot. Am I correct ?.

Hiking Lakegala is a nice experience but in a dry season. That to be done with an experienced local guide because there is a huge wall to be climbed to put a rope near the top of the rock. ( Once I had to give-up hiking at that point ).

Didn't you meet Hamuduruwoo at the temple. He is very helpful.

Thanks for sharing a nice experience.

hello guys,
sorry for the delay. any way..thanks a lot for your feedback and yep i knew it was risky, camping in the middle of the stream. But my crew was kind of stubborn and the site was extremely beautiful. They like risking their lives a bit. and a villager told us not to camp in the jungle because there was an elephant roaming in the jungle alone. So we had a camping site with a view worth dying for and set our camp there. But thank you guys a lot for your advise and next time i will remember your words.. Smiley

Hi ujrox,

It seems you guys had a fun trip. I have camped in Meemure in 2005 with some of my friends. We stayed 1 night near the stream which you meet at the entrance. Those days road condition was terrible though we had to push our vehicles in some gaps. Very interseting trip. Villagers were also very friendly.

Cheers,
Amila
