btw why do you always try to hike during december knowing it rains cats and dogs in your hometown area???  Grin Grin Grin

Hi Amal,

Camping at ella rock! what an experience Shocked

We planned camping to of the rock during our trip to ella rock on Feb 2015. But couldn't make it due to heavy rain.

Thanks for sharing the report with nice pictures and map. Cool

Hi Amal,

Wonderful jouney. The good path is starting from Kithal Ella RS know.
I want to try this and spend the night, this misty environment is totally like Namunukula area.

Hi Amal,
It should be a nice experiance. Seems you had a brighten weather. This refreshed my memory to Ella rock before 5 years but in a different route. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I want to feel this experience during my rail hike.

yes. it's awesome. you should try sometimes.
if u want to go there, these days are ok. No rain and nice sunny weather around ella area on these days.

No I crossed Rawana falls at it's top part and followed the foot pathway from there. I think it is different from Heeloya route.
