Hi Sri And the Gang

Wow what a wonderful report with scenic pictures......... Cheesy
it refreshed my sweet memories which i did the reverse version.......... Smiley
I like the loneliness in this area.........

Not to discourage you i have a feeling like this
As a wet zone lover Wink i feel it would have been much better if you had selected this report as your 100th  Cool Cool. Such a lovely report ........and you had your old  friends and one of your so called staff in this journey ( just an idea Smiley  )

Nice to have seen Mrs. Mayakaduwa and Changumie. For me both are heroines....One fought with the leopard and the lady fought with her entire life to bring Bamabrakanda rest to this position  Shocked Shocked
.....and definitely Mrs. Mayakaduwa should be in your staff list  Smiley

And these old gang seems invading your journeys day by day Embarrassed
I have to something now Tongue Tongue

Thanks for sharing your wonderful report
Panos are so beautiful Cheesy

Cheers

HARI

Hi Sri,

I've been to Bambarakanda one month before in the same route. Roads are in terrible condition. Angry
This is a very scenic route. it took around 4 hours to travel this. Undecided

Thanks for bring the experience in the pictures.

Hi guys and girl,

I badly miss this trip even though I have done this trip by bikes. Nice photos and as always a whole lot of bible stories to read.

Cheers

Hi Hari
Thanks buddy and well I didn't know I'd reached 100 reports until I had written all of them... otherwise could've chosen this as the 100th  Wink
Mrs. Mayakaduwa is one great lady and very warm and welcoming...
I felt really sorry to hear that Duke had passed away. He was such a great dog and a good guide too.... Just shows the uncertainty of life  Cry
This was a dream hike for me and finally feel glad I managed to do it
Cheers

Hi Sri and team,

What a grand hike! Enjoyed the write-up as well as the pics. One of my pipe dreams.
On day 2 did you go back to Ohiya station by van or caught the train at Haputale?  By van how long did it take to reach Ohiya?

Regards,
Nayani

Hi Ramzy
Thanks and the road is now in good condition up to about 1km beyond Bambarakanda Rest but from there it's worse than a nightmare...
It really is very scenic and an unforgettable experience... A must do I guess

Hi Nayani
Thanks a lot and hope your dream will come true in no time....
Second day, we went to Haputale from Bambarakanda by a hired van. The road from Ohiya to Bambarakanda is terrible and only that battered Delica or a 4WD could manage it I guess...
However anyone who loves their vehicle shouldn't attempt it...
If you do in a vehicle, it should still take about 2-3hrs if not more...
Cheers

Hi Malith
You could do it easily in one day if you time it properly....
Good luck and thanks
