hi Amal
another lovely report! I did this with kasun in 2013 as i remember. we didnt know what to expect and we came across a heard of wild buffaloes... didnt you guys note any?? this is one of those paradise sites in Sri Lanka. i really love this place.

Thank You !! Your Trip report made a desire to do this hike. when i reading your trip report I thought I will do this hike soon. That s how I end up with this trip report. Thax for that. And we didn't notice any wild buffaloes.

this is one of those paradise sites in Sri Lanka. i really love this place.

I also did this couple of months back. Had to use the compass in the phone to ascend the summit. The sunrise at Havagala is amazing. Probably the best I've seen.

Hello Amal,

lovely hike, nice report.

Hawagala is one of those journeys I admire the most. I still can recall the beauty of that place and every moment spent there.

Good to see a new guy contributing with hiking reports to the forum. But be cautious about the weather. Never hike when the weather is not suitable.! always check the weather before you go.
