Significance: Relevance to the Stone Age
Archaeologists firmly believe that excavation conducted at the Dorawaka Rock caves at Warakapola reveal information of the Mesolithic Era, the third phase of the Stone Age. Brahmi lettering is typically found in rock inscriptions in stone caves.
